Leonardo's AESA radar to be installed in French Army's UAV - News

ROME. Safran Electronics & Defense selected Leonardo's PicoSAR active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar for the French Army's Patroller unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The radars will be used by the French Forces under a contract in which Leonardo will provide a number of radars and spares. First deliveries are expected in 2017.

Leonardo DRS -- the U.S. arm of the Italian aerospace company Leonardo -- has announced that it will participate in the U.S. Air Force T-X competition with its T-100 integrated training system. The competition is soliciting contractors to design and build a successor to replace the aging T-38 Talon, first produced by Northrop in 1959.
