POWAY, Calif. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) announced that it has flown a company-owned MQ-9A Block 5 Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) equipped with a newly developed Centerline Avionics Bay (CAB). The CAB is intended to provide space to incorporate critical new capabilities for GA-ASI customers.

UNITED KINGDOM. Following its testing and entry into service with the UK’s Royal Air Force, Leonardo announced that its BriteCloud capability is now being evaluated for use by U.S. Armed Forces.

JAPAN. Japan’s Coast Guard completed flight testing of Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S), a Raytheon Technologies business, maritime surveillance technologies onboard a General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. POWAY, Calif. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) completed the first Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) High Frequency (HF) Command and Control (C2) demonstration for an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). According to officials, the HF C2 capability does not require a Satellite Communications (SATCOM) link and is capable of providing BLOS connectivity up to 8,000 miles, depending on transmit power and link geometry.

POWAY, Calif. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) recently completed Full Scale Static (FSS) testing on the MQ-9B Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) wing after three months of extensive testing. MQ-9B includes SkyGuardian and SeaGuardian RPA produced by GA-ASI.
