ARLINGTON, Va. The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)  and the Australian defense department have announced a bilateral effort to advance the development of air-breathing hypersonic technologies.  

GERMANY. Rheinmetall has won a contract to develop a future laser weapon system component. At the end of the second quarter of 2020, the Federal Office for Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology, and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) contracted with Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH to fabricate a laser source demonstrator. 

HAIFA, Israel. Elbit Systems Ltd. announced that it has won a contract to supply the E-LynX Software Defined Radio (SDR) solution for the combat battalion level of the Spanish Army.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. DCS Corporation, a company offering technology, engineering, and management solutions to government agencies in the Department of Defense, has won a five-year, $48 million prime task order to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Intelligence, Surveillance  and Reconnaissance and Special Operations Forces (ISR/SOF) Directorate's Global Hawk Division under the Air Force's EPASS program.

EUROPE. Germany, Spain, and France the three driving forces of the NGWS/FCAS program, have entrusted FCMS, Indra, and Thales with the development of a suite of sensors that will aim to equip the Future European Combat Air System.

TAMPA, Fla. CAE announced it has won a subcontract by Lockheed Martin to supply the CAE Magnetic Anomaly Detection-Extended Role (MAD-XR) system for U.S. Navy MH-60R Seahawk helicopters.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. The U.S. Department of Defense's (DoD's) Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) has chosen intelligent-vision maker Immervision (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) to develop and supply a wide-angle computer vision camera for small unmanned aerial systems (sUASs) as part of the DoD's Blue UAS Framework effort.

The Eagle Passive/Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS), the updated new radar warning and electronic warfare (EW) suite for the U.S. Air Force’s F-15E Strike Eagle, is one step closer to becoming operational in the F-15E fleet after a recent large force test event, dubbed the Large Force Test Event (LFTE) 20.03.

(SPA) received a subcontract from Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) to support the U.S. Navy's endeavors with Advanced Hypersonic Technologies through the Global Deterrence and Defense Department (Code GX) at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Crane, Indiana.
