SYMONSTON, Australia. Northrop Grumman recently realized an important milestone in its production of Australia’s first MQ-4C Triton high-altitude, long-endurance (HALE) unmanned aerial system (UAS), when the Triton team mounted the fuselage onto the aircraft's single-piece wing.

NASHUA, N.H. BAE Systems received a $493 million contract modification from Lockheed Martin to upgrade and modernize the electronic warfare (EW) system for the F-35 Lightning II. The system is designed to enable the fifth-generation fighter to detect and address electromagnetic threats.
 

EUROPE. Airbus and OneWeb have signed a distribution partner agreement to provide low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communication (SATCOM) services for military and governmental use.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. Raytheon Intelligence & Space has won a $67 million contract with the U.S. Space Force to demonstrate an electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) weather system (EWS) prototype that is expected to deliver operational data for the U.S. Space Force’s Space Systems Command.   

FALLS CHURCH, Va. Northrop Grumman Corporation has won a contract from the U.S. Army in support of U.S. European Command (EUCOM) to provide Forward Area Air Defense Command and Control (FAAD C2) to Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia.

HOUSTON, Texas. KBR has won eight prime contracts as a part of the General Services Administration (GSA) ASTRO multiple award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, which encompasses services related to manned, unmanned, and optionally manned systems, robotics, and platforms.

U.S. NAVAL FORCES CENTRAL COMMAND, Gulf of Aqaba. U.S. Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) is now operationally testing a new unmanned surface vessel (USV) in the Gulf of Aqaba (off the coast of Jordan) as part of a drive to integrate new unmanned systems and artificial intelligence (AI) into U.S. 5th Fleet operations.

BRAZIL. Embraer and the Brazilian Army (EB) presented the SABER M200 VIGILANTE radar during an event at Embraer’s Campinas unit. The radar was developed to support the country's anti-aircraft defense units, according to officials.

ARLINGTON, Va. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has awarded defense-cybersecurity contractor Parsons (Centreville, Virginia) a $10.8 million contract to make a prototype of a ground operations center for DARPA's Blackjack satellite constellation.
