HANOVER, Md. Sotera Defense Solutions -- a subsidiary of the KeyW Holding Corporation -- has been awarded a three-year, $18 million task order to provide business- systems software engineering and sustainment services to the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC). This is the fifth task order awarded to the combined company under the $7 billion Software and Systems Engineering Services Next Generation (SSES NexGen) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract.

Security-solutions provider KeyW has received a contract worth $24 million from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to conduct research in multisensor, multidomain fusion, including radio frequency, electro-optical and infrared sensing, and exploitation for airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR).

KeyW enters agreement to purchase Sotera Defense Solutions - News

HANOVER, Md. KeyW Holding Corp. officials signed a definitive agreement to acquire Sotera Defense Solutions in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $235 million, inclusive of an expected $46 million net present value of acquired tax benefits. The transaction, approved by the boards of directors of both companies, has received the requisite approval of the Sotera shareholders, and, subject to other customary conditions, is expected to close in the second quarter of 2017.
