Rochester Electronics increases support of active/obsolete ICs for military, aerospace applications

NEWBURYPORT, MA. Through its Extension-of-Life products and solutions, Rochester Electronics has expanded its support services of both active and obsolete Integrated Circuits (ICs) for mil/aero applications. Rochester complies with MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38535 requirements.
Rochester continues to manufacture Intel’s 87C51 (pictured above), National Semiconductor’s 54AC00/QCA (5962-8754901CA), and Texas Instruments’ UA733M/BIA (8418501IA) to MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38535 specifications. This ability to continue manufacturing these devices saves time and money by not having to do costly re-designs and re-qualifications of the mil/aero systems.
Eric Falconer, Rochester Electronics’ Quality Manager, says with MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38535 certifications in place, the company is able to act as a fully authorized manufacturer of semiconductor devices for mil/aero applications.
Rochester Electronics has also expanded its environmental test lab that replicates real-world environmental conditions that mil/aero applications experience.
