Lockheed Martin places waveguide components order for AN/SPY-1D radar

EXETER, N.H. Lockheed Martin officials placed an order with Cobham for multiple waveguide components and assemblies to support production of the company's AN/SPY-1D 3-D fixed-phased array radar. The contract is worth an estimated $10 million.
The AN/SPY-1D is a Lockheed Martin-built S-band multi-function phased array radar system that is a key component of the Aegis Combat System. The system can automatically track multiple targets simultaneously while maintaining continuous surveillance.
Work for this contract will be performed at Cobham Integrated Electronic Solutions' - a business unit at Cobham - facility in Exeter, New Hampshire.
