ALEXANDRIA, Va. The U.S. Navy’s chief of acquisition James Geurts -- assistant secretary of the Navy for Research, Development, and Acquisition -- announced during Britain’s Atlantic Future Forum that the U.S. and the U.K. have established what they call the "London Tech Bridge," the first such innovation center located outside the U.S.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Collins Aerospace Systems (a unit of Raytheon Technologies) has won a 30-month, $19.9 million contract with the U.S. Navy’s Office of Naval Research (ONR) to conduct a maritime experiment of the company’s MS-177A long-range multispectral imaging sensor on a Navy flight-test P-3C Orion aircraft.

WASHINGTON. A new U.S. Navy information warfare project received a two-year extension and $400 million in new funding, the Navy announced. James Guerts, Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition, approved a funding ceiling increase and extension for the Information Warfare Research Project (IWRP) of the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command.

COTS phased-array radar antenna wins DIU contract for possible use on U.S. Navy ships - News

HAWTHORNE, Calif. Radar antenna maker ThinKom Solutions has won a seven-month contract from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) to test and evaluate one of the company’s commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) aeronautical phased-array antenna systems as a solution for next-generation communications on U.S. Navy ships, for instance on the DDG-1000 naval destroyer.
