NORFOLK, VA. The U.S. Navy successfully conducted an arrested landing of an X-47B Unmanned Aerial System UAS aboard the U.S.S. H.W. Bush on Wednesday. The X-47B UAS departed from Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland before landing on the U.S.S. H.W. Bush off the coast of Virginia.

Navy announces imminent RFP plan for aircraft carrier-based UAS - News

SPRINGFIELD, VA. The U.S. Navy has announced a plan to release an RFP before the end of 2012 for the Unmanned Carrier-Launched Surveillance and Strike (UCLASS) aerial system. The RFP for the unmanned platform, which will launch from Navy aircraft carriers, was announced on November 8th by U.S. Navy Deputy Program Executive Officer Patrick Buckley.

Sonar upgrade installed on Navy minehunting fleet - News

WASHINGTON. Improved sonar detection technology for minehunting operations was installed by Naval Surface Warfare Center engineers on the on USS Guardian (MCM 5) in Sasebo, Japan, its home port. The AN/SQQ-32(V)4 minehunting sonar set is a high-frequency wideband upgrade to the current AN/SQQ-32(V)3 sonar.
