FRANCE. Thales has won its first delivery order from the U.S. Army to provide the AN/PRC-170 Javelin Radio. Under the Army single channel TSM radio program, and in support of capability set fielding’s into the Integrated Tactical Network (ITN), the AN/PRC-170 Javelin is designed to expand voice, data connectivity, and streaming video to the tactical edge.

ARLINGTON, Va. Thales has unveiled its Ground Observer 20 Multi-Mission radar (GO 20 MM) radar designed to combine ground and low-level air surveillance in a single surveillance asset. The radar is also engineered to offer early unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) detection and automatic classification.

AUSTRALIA. Thales Australia, Microsoft, and Australian companies Myriad Technologies, archTIS, and Fortifyedge have partnered to launch Nexium Defense Cloud Edge (NDC Edge), a secure Tactical cloud computing capability designed for the edge of the battlespace.

NORWAY. The Norwegian Defense Material Agency (NDMA) has signed an agreement with the Netherlands Defense Material Organization (DMO) for the acquisition of five Thales Ground Master 200 Multi-Mission Compact radars (GM200 MM/C). The agreement also includes an option for three additional systems.

FRANCE. Thales has announced that the first of the five Sea Fire active electronically scanned array (AESA) digital radars for French Navy’s future Frigates for Defense and Intervention (FDI) arrived at the Lorient shipyard April 27, 2021 for integration on the first vessel.

EUROPE. a4ESSOR S.A.S (Alliance for ESSOR), a multi-national joint venture to develop European Secure Software-Defined Radio (ESSOR) technology, announced it has achieved formal acceptance for its High Data Rate (HDR) Base Waveform which has been developed under the European Secure Software defined Radio-Operational Capability 1 (ESSOR OC1) contract signed with Organisation Conjointe de Coopération en matière d’ARmement (OCCAR).

FRANCE. Thales has signed a contract with Lockheed Martin as a tier-one supplier for the delivery of up to 55 airborne anti-submarine warfare sonars. The Airborne Low Frequency Sonar (ALFS) dipping sonars will be installed on the MH-60R platform for the U.S. Navy and three additional navies. Delivery of the first 42 systems will occur over the next five years with a delivery of 13 optional systems to occur in year six.
