Submarine combat system lab to be opened by Lockheed Martin in Australia - News

CANBERRA, Australia. Lockheed Martin Australia officials plan to open a submarine combat system laboratory in Mawson Lakes in November of this year to help support their pursuit of the Royal Australian navy's Future Submarine project SEA 1000 Phase 1. An expanded Phase 2 with a secure area is expected to open in the third quarter of next year.

GAITHERSBURG, Maryland. U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials accredited Lockheed Martin as a Commercial Service Provider (CSP) under the department’s Enhanced Cybersecurity Services (ECS) program, which enables DHS to share sensitive and classified cybersecurity threat information with Lockheed Martin to support its efforts in guarding public and private entities against cyber attacks.

SUNNYVALE, Calif. Lockheed Martin has begun to work on developing a concept of a Multi-Object Kill Vehicle missile defense system under a $9.7 million contract with the U.S. Missile Defense Agency. The work will primarily be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif., but the company’s engineers in Huntsville, Ala. will also contribute to the project.
