Woking, UK, 10 January 2022 - TT Electronics, a global provider of engineered technologies for performance critical applications, today announces it has acquired the Ferranti Power and Control business (Ferranti P&C) from Elbit Systems for £9 million. Ferranti P&C is a UK based manufacturer of power electronics and power systems for the aerospace and defense markets located in the greater Manchester area.

HAIFA, Israel. Elbit Systems Ltd. announced that its subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Elbit Systems Emirates Ltd., won a contract valued at approximately $53 million to supply Direct Infrared Countermeasures (DIRCM) and airborne Electronic Warfare (EW) systems for the Airbus A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport aircraft.

HAIFA, Israel. Elbit Systems and Roboteam have announced the launch of ROOK, a multi-payload military 6x6 unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) that features unique design and a built-in autonomy suite offering a combination of greater capacity, improved manuverability, and on-field agility.

LONDON. Babcock International Group (Babcock), defense, security, and aerospace company has been awarded a 13-year contract by the U.K.’s Defense Equipment and Support (DE&S)  for the design, manufacture, delivery/commisioning, and in-service support to the Maritime Electronic Warfare Systems Integrated Capability (MEWSIC) Increment 1.

LONDON. Elbit Systems U.K. (a subsidiary of Elbit Systems, Haifa, Israel) has won a contract valued at approximately $100 million (approximately £73 million) to provide the U.K. royal navy with new electronic warfare (EW) capabilities under Increment 1 of the Maritime Electronic Warfare System Integrated Capability (MEWSIC) program.

ISRAEL. Elbit Systems announced the unveiling of the ARCAS, a built-in computerized artificial intelligence (AI) powered system that interfaces with the rifle’s electro-optical (EO) sight, with a helmet mounted eyepiece and with the rifle’s assemblies, to provide soldiers with real-time intuitive actionable combat information.

UNITED KINGDOM. Elbit Systems U.K. concluded a participation in NATO’s Coalition Warrior Interoperability Exercise 2021 (CWIX 2021), deploying its TORCH-X based Battle Management Application system (BMA) to support U.K. Higher Headquarters preparedness activities for Five Eyes and NATO operations.
