ASHBURN, VA. Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions (CWCDS) engineers are using Air-flow-through (AFT) cooling techniques from Northrop Grumman for use in rugged, military embedded systems. In compliance with the ANSI/VITA 48.5-2010 standard, CWCDS will use the AFT cooling on its VPX systems ? VITA 46/28/65 -- in C4ISR applications such as signals intelligence and radar signal processing.

SAN JOSE, Calif. Officials at LynuxWorks, are providing its board support package (BSP) and DO178B Level C Artifacts for a single-board computer (SBC) from Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions. The SVME/DMV-183 SBC will make use of a new BSP that is a part of the LynxOS-178 2.2.2 real-time operating system (RTOS) release. LynuxWorks made the announcement at the Design West show last week in San Jose, Calif.
