Frequency bandwidth doubled for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites - News

PARIS. New frequency bandwidths have been allocated for Earth Observation Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) systems that will allow for better image resolution quality in color for future SAR satellites. It now doubles the actual 600 Megahertz to reach 1.200 Megahertz. The decision comes after four years of preparation and several weeks of discussions prior to the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC 2015) in Geneva, Switzerland.
