DISA awards $71.8 million contract for Army Pacific Command satellite operations

HERNDON, Va. Defense and intelligence contractor Peraton won a contract potentially worth $71.8 million from the Defense Information Intelligence Agency (DISA) for procurement and management of commercial satellite capacity for U.S. Army Pacific Command (USARPAC).
Under the terms of the contract -- which has a one-year base period and four one-year options -- Peraton will provide satellite services, engineering, and technical support for the fixed and mobile platforms for the network architecture of the U.S. Army’s Pacific Command. Peraton is tasked with connecting the Army and its allies in the Pacific Rim, enabling the successful execution of complex missions critical to the region’s continued stability and security.
Peraton will monitor and maintain round-the-clock, 24/7 control of the network from its operations center in Herndon, VA.
