U.S. Navy awards Akima contract worth a potential $113.8 million for ISR, cyber services

HERNDON, Va. Federal contractor Akima announced that its Aperture subsidiary won a contract to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic’s Command Wide 8(a) Programmatic Engineering Logistics Support Incubator program. The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract runs over five years and if all options are exercised could have a total value of $113.8 million.

Under the terms of the contract, Aperture will compete for individual task orders supporting the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic and stands ready to perform a variety of information-technology and engineering services as required by the individual task orders.

Aperture's areas of expertise include C5ISR [command, control, computers, communications, cyberdefense, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance] operations and maintenance support, cybersecurity operations, and field-service support.
