The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) will hold Virtual Proposers Days on June 6 and 7, 2018, to provide information about the Tactical Technology Office (TTO) goals and areas for intended investment in advance of a mid-June release of the 2018 Disruptive Capabilities for Future Warfare Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). The event will also enable companies and individuals to meet with TTO program managers to discuss concepts for advanced research, development, and demonstration of systems for military missions. Registration for the Proposers Days closes June 1 at noon EDT.

Aerospace engineering firm Cascade Aerospace (Abbostford, British Columbia) has chosen Rockwell Collins to install a modern weather radar system for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) C-130H fleet. The radar system will include the WXR-2100 MultiScan and the new MFD-255 and MFD-268 multifunction displays.

The U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the U.S. Army report that the Kratos Space & Missile Defense Systems (SMDS) -- a division of Kratos Defense & Security Solutions in San Diego -- successfully supported a tracking exercise involving the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system in April 2018. THAAD is an element of the U.S. ballistic missile defense system intended to counter short- and medium-range ballistic missiles in the terminal phase.
