Unmanned aerial system aboard USV gets sea trial to test intel, EW capabilities

HAIFA, Israel. Elbit Systems and the Israeli navy report recent trials using Elbit’s Skylark C mini unmanned aerial system (UAS) onboard the Seagull unmanned surface vessel (USV) to test the Seagull's anti-submarine warfare (ASW), mine countermeasure (MCM) surveillance, electronic warfare (EW), maritime security, and hydrography capabilities.
According to company information, the USV carries a switchable payload suite that includes EW and electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) payloads to enable situational awareness and intelligence gathering.
The Skylark C -- an autonomous shipborne mini-UAS weighing 15 kg and (33.06 pounds) and capable of point water recovery -- generates a visual feed that can be sent to a land-based control and used in turn by naval vessels’ combat management systems (CMS).
