MCLEAN, Va. The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has awarded Booz Allen Hamilton a key place on the $8.27 billion Joint Enterprise Research Development, Acquisition and Procurement (JE RDAP) contract.
The DoD -- through its Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical Biological Defense (JPEO CBD) -- intends the work under the JE RDAP to protect the nation’s armed forces from weapons of mass destruction by equipping them with the latest chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear and high-yield explosives (CBRNE) defense equipment and capabilities.
Under the terms of Booz Hamilton's win on the contract -- which involves several hundred companies working on CBRNE defense -- Nicole Funk, senior vice president at Booz Allen, says that her company intends to leverage its ongoing work in analytics, artificial intelligence, systems integration, rapid prototyping, cyber, and disease detection to further the JPEO CBD’s mission.
