Towed-array sonar contract for $29.3 million with U.S. Navy won by Lockheed Martin

BETHESDA, Md. Lockheed Martin has won a $29.3 million contract modification on an order from the U.S. Navy to provide TB-37 towed-array sonar for antisubmarine warfare (ASW) operations aboard surface warships.
The TB-37 sonar equips surface ships with heightened ability to detect, localize, and combat undersea threats.
The majority of the work on the contract -- under the direction of the Naval Sea System Command -- will be performed in Liverpool, New York (66 percent); with additional work done in Millersville, Maryland; and Marion, Massachusetts. The contract is expected to be concluded by June 2021.
