SOSA aligned reference system unveiled by Hartmann Electronic

STUTTGART, Germany. Hartmann Electronic has unveiled a complete reference system that is aligned to the Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) Technical Standard and is designed to enhance the interoperability and performance in military applications, the company announced in a statement.
This system integrates a high-speed backplane with a chassis manager, both designed to meet the requirements of military architecture. It is designed to ensure seamless interaction among all components, and it includes a chassis manager that facilitates standardized communication within and outside the system for monitoring and controlling the operating conditions and functionalities of installed modules, the statement reads. This capability is beneficial for managing the temperature, power supply, and diagnostics in compliance with VITA 46.11.
Additionally, the system features a high-speed backplane capable of supporting data rates up to 100 Gigabit Ethernet. This backplane is equipped with slots that accommodate various plug-in cards, offering flexibility and customization to meet specific defense needs, the company says.
This system is already employed in various defense scenarios such as radar, vehicle control, and traffic systems, the statement adds.
