U.S. Army will work with Leidos on C4ISR support, testing

RESTON, Va. IT/engineering company Leidos announced that it won a follow-on task order by the General Services Administration (GSA) to provide mission support services to the U.S. Army's Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC) Prototyping Integration and Testing Division (PI&TD).
Under the terms of the single-award follow-on task order -- which features a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total contract value of approximately $230 million -- work will be performed mostly at the U.S. Army facility at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, with additional work done at Fort Bragg, N.C. and Tobyhanna Army Depot, Pennsylvania.
Leidos will support CERDEC's PI&TD by delivering equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials and other items and services necessary to perform command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems integration. Leidos' role, according to company officials, is to help PI&TD integrate C4ISR systems into military and aerospace equipment and weapons systems and support test and evaluation exercises.
