Schiebel UAS helicopter demonstrated for the Brazilian Navy

VIENNA. Schiebel recently demonstrated the CAMCOPTER S-100 unmanned helicopter’s capabilities to the Brazilian Navy from the Brazilian Amazonas Class Ship APA near San Pedro, Brazil.
The demonstration of Schiebel’s CAMCOPTER S-100 Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) Unmanned Air System (UAS) were conducted during day and night at ranges up to 44 nautical miles with target detection up to 90 nautical miles. The demonstrations used scenarios designed to evaluate the capabilities of its payloads, including the L3 Wescam MX-10, Selex ES SAGE ESM, Selex PicoSAR Radar, and AIS (Automatic Identification System), etc.
The demonstration successfully showcased the CAMCOPTER S-100’s capabilities to meet the operational needs of Maritime Commanders.
