NVIDIA-hardware partner and embedded computing supplier Connect Tech acquired by HEICO

GUELPH, Ontario, Canada. HEICO Corp. acquired Connect Tech, a producer of embedded computing and NVIDIA GPU solutions for military applications such as unmanned systems, communications, ISR (intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance), and more various form factors such as COM Express and PC104. As a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, Connect Tech will continue to serve its global customer base.
Connect Tech and its specialization in NVIDIA-based solutions has fueled the company's growth over the last few years, and company officials say that joining HEICO's vast group of technology companies should continue that success. "Connect Tech has continued on a significant growth path over the past few years, primarily due to our ability to provide extremely fast turn-around time of custom solutions and creating standard product lines servicing cutting-edge technologies," says David Worthen, president and founder of Connect Tech. "Having the financial backing of HEICO, with annual revenues of over $2 billion, gives us the ability to continue investing in capital equipment that will help us scale at a trajectory faster than we could accomplish independently — especially in the defense and aerospace markets."
Regarding defense and aerospace, Worthen added that HEICO being an American-based company helps broaden Connect Tech's reach in the U.S. defense market. "Being a part of an American company with over 60 years of aerospace and defense experience provides visibility into programs that Connect Tech, as a Canadian company, would not necessarily be invited to participate in," he says. "HEICO and its various subsidiaries have an in-depth knowledge of the technological goals and challenges within the defense sector. Connect Tech has the experience of bringing both standard and customized embedded computing solutions to market - this partnership will allow us to anticipate the market’s needs and deliver in-demand solutions to aerospace and defense companies."
From an outward facing standpoint, not much will change for Connect Tech's customers and partners.

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
