French Armed Forces to start using FLIR's nano-UAS for military operations

WILSONVILLE, Ore. Officials at the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA) selected FLIR Systems, Inc. to support the French Operational Pocket Drone (DrOP) program with a contract valued at $89 million.
Under contract, FLIR will deliver its FLIR Black Hornet 3 nano-unmanned aerial system (UAS) and Personal Reconnaissance System (PRS) to support French Armed Forces operations.
The Black Hornet PRS is a nano-UAS, which enables the warfighter to maintain situational awareness. It is equipped with electro-optical/infrared sensors and the ability to fly up to 25 minutes.
The contract will be managed and executed by FLIR in Hvalstad, Norway.
