European unmanned ground systems development led by Estonia

ESTONIA. A consortium has been founded with purpose of developing umanned military ground vehicles for European countries. The leading nation in the consortium is Estonia.
Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, and Spain are also participating in the consortium, which looks to develop Modular Unmanned Ground Systems (MUGS), with funding from the EDF. The consortium is reportedly seeeking $34.1 million in funding from the European Defense Fund (EDF), with the participating countries adding additional funding.
The European Union's security and defense agency, PESCO, reportedly called for a multi-mission-capable platform to carry different payloads and sensors, cyber-secure autonomous navigation capability, and electronic warfare-resilient command and control interface systems.
