SYDNEY, Australia. Counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) company DroneShield and partner Trakka Systems report a successful recent demonstration of the TIPS-C [Trakka Interceptor Package Solution] at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.

According to a news release from DroneShield, the late-February 2021 demonstration included an executive team from DroneShield and Trakka Systems plus key decision-makers and servicemembers from Eglin and Hanscom Air Force Bases to view the capabilities of the TIPS-C total package solution.

The open-architecture-based TIPS-C -- which operates while mounted on a mobile platform -- uses DroneShield's DroneSentry-C2 software, which produces a common operating picture for drone detection and tracking within the local airspace; the software takes in the data from multiple sensors to give the user an intuitive visualization of the airspace and potential drone threats.

The DroneSentry-C2 works by integrating the company's RadarZero information, video, and DroneOptiID AI-based computer vision engine to provide real-time drone detection and tracking with slew-to-cue camera for visual threat assessment and video evidence recording.
