PARIS--EUROSATORY 2022. Defense technology company Leonardo plans to display a variety of technologies at the Eurosatory 2022 exhibition -- slated to run June 13-17 in Paris -- ranging from sensors that acquire information and scenario awareness to operations management systems using a series of highly effective and accurate effectors.

At the show, Leonardo is set to highlight its new AESA [active electronically scanned array] TMMR radar, which the company says when combined with the NERIO electro-optical camera is an effective solution for counter-unmanned aerial system ((AS) or antidrone scenarios requiring mobility and deployment. The company states that the TMMR can also be used for short-range air defense plus surveillance and protection of platforms, vehicles, borders, territories, and critical infrastructure. Leonardo is also slated to present the fixed and mobile versions of the multifuncational Kronos radar used in air surveillance and defense.

Also on display will be a number of military communications systems from its SWave SDR [software-defined radio] family, to include handheld, portable, and vehicle-mounted radios. These SDRs, the company says, enable interoperability among terrestrial forces, especially in combined multinational operations, thanks to the ability to use the same platform (reprogrammable via software) for a variety of communication needs, even in very different scenarios.

Eurosatory attendees may visit Leonardo at Stand #D301/Hall 6.
