LVC demonstration completed by Rockwell Collins in France, U.K., and U.S.

TOULOUSE, France. Engineers from Rockwell Collins completed a Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) demonstration where they connected simulators and aircraft in the U.K., France, and the U.S.
During the demonstration, all simulators were connected to a live aircraft in Ceder Rapids, Iowa to complete the scenario. Users operated the Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) simulator and Air Superiority Operation Center RealFires Simulator at a command and control center in Toulouse, France. A C-130 Simulator, a Helicopter Simulator, and a fighter jet simulator were also part of the demonstration. The fighter jet simulator was operated out of Burgess Hill, U.K.
Claude Alber, vice president and managing director of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for Rockwell Collins, says “this demonstration signifies the ability to train users in multiple locations using simulated and live missions to drive down costs.”
The demonstration also included having the engineers connect to various live or simulated platforms with the Multiple Independent Levels of Security (MILS) system, an National Security Agency (NSA) certification that enables the connection to happen with different levels of security ranging from confidential to top secret.
