VME single board computer released by Artesyn officials

TEMPE, Ariz. Officials at Artesyn Embedded Technologies released the MVME8105, a VME single-board computer. The company will continue to supply many of its existing VME boards past 2025 as they continue to grow their portfolio.
It provides 4 GB soldered DDR3-1333 MHz ECC memory, 512 K MRAM non-volatile memory, 8 GB eMMC NAND Flash, and features Freecale’s QorIQ P5020 2.0 GHz processor. The MVME8105 also offers multiple USB, Serial and Ethernet ports, and supports operating systems including Wind River VxWorks, Linux, and Green Hills Integrity.
“As VME boards from other suppliers are discontinued, we are providing technical guidance to help customers migrate as smoothly as possible. Since software compatibility is critical, we are actively working with our strategic software partners to make product migration successful,” says Qianqian Shao, product marketing manager, Artesyn Embedded Technologies.
