AOC INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM AND CONVENTION, WASHINGTON, DC. Pentek, Inc., announced the most recent addition to the Talon RTX 25xx series, a new high-performance small-form-factor (SFF) recorder product line aimed at use in extreme operating environments including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), aircraft pods, space-constrained equipment bays, military vehicles, and harsh outdoor environments
The SWaP (size, weight, and power)-optimized ATRs (analog-tape recorders) -- available with multiple input options and up to 30.7 TB of removable SSD storage -- enable real-time streaming data rates up to 4 GB/sec for multichannel, wide-bandwidth RF signal recording.
According to Pentek documents, the Model RTX 2590 provides eight phase-coherent 250 MHz 16-bit A/D channels, for recording up to 100 MHz of RF/IF signal bandwidth per channel with excellent dynamic range; can sample RF/IF signals up to 700 MHz; and provides digital downconverters with output bandwidths selectable from 5 kHz to 100 MHz.
