New signal processor for AMRAAM to be developed by USAF, Raytheon

TUCSON, Ariz. U.S. Air Force and Raytheon engineers will team up to develop a new signal processor for the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) under the Form Fit Function Refresh program (F3R).
Officials say, the refresh will help ensure AMRAAM production into the 2020s. The new program comes as the government and industry team completes production of the 20,000th AMRAAM. It is currently flying the F-16, F-15, F/A-18, F-22, Typhoon, Gripen, Tornado, and Harrier.
