AN/SPY-1D(V) radar transmitter contract won by Raytheon

TEWKSBURY, Mass. U.S. Navy officials selected Raytheon to deliver its Aegis Weapon System AN/SPY-1D(V) Radar Transmitter Group, Missile Fire Control System MK 99 equipment under a contract valued at $365,848,801. If all options are exercise, the contract could be worth up to $423,056,873.
The fixed-price-incentive, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract includes associated engineering services for the Aegis weapon system. The contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy and the governments of the Republic of Korea and Japan under the Foreign Military Sales program.
Most of the work will be performed at the company's facility in Andover, Massachusetts with support from facilities at Marlborough, Massachusetts; Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; Moorestown, New Jersey; and Chesapeake, Virginia. Work is expected to be completed by October 2022.
Funding for the contract will be obligated at the time of the award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity. Raytheon did not competitively procure the contract in accordance with 10 U.S. Code 2304.
