Warfighter subsystems the focus of U.S. Navy $8.4 million order from Mercury Systems

ANDOVER, Mass. Mercury Systems has received an $8.4 million follow-on order -- against a previously announced $152 million five-year sole source basic ordering agreement (BOA) -- to complete subsystem engineering development in support of the U.S. Navy?s training environment.
Brian Perry, president, Mercury Defense Systems, said of the contract: “This order further validates Mercury’s leadership role in the agile development of sophisticated subsystems critical to the success of the U.S. warfighter. These innovative subsystems will allow our aircrews to experience new adversarial electronic attack capabilities in a safe environment, thereby gaining an advantage in the event of actual combat. As we continue to engage with our enemies on the electromagnetic battlefield, these capabilities are critical to maintain our position of air superiority.”
Engineering development related to the order is expected to be completed over the next several quarters.
