Seventh C4ISR contract to support the U.S. Coast Guard awarded to Lockheed Martin

MOORESTOWN, NJ. Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) has awarded an additional $69 million contract to Lockheed Martin to support the U.S. Coast Guard to address at-sea threats and enforce maritime authority.
Lockheed Martin will provide the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) system for the U.S. Coast Guard’s seventh National Security Cutter (NSC), a multi-mission cutter that has capabilities to support the Coast Guard’s environmental protection, homeland security, law enforcement, marine safety, and national defense missions.
Lockheed Martin has provided the C4ISR system to all prior six NSCs. The C4ISR system offers commonality and interoperability and real-time Situational Awareness (SA). It allows the crew to view vessels in distress or targets of interest, collaborate with other Coast Guard assets, and act on the most up-to-date information available.
