Radar from Saab gets $1.01 billion follow-on contract from UAE

LINKOPING, Sweden and SYRACUSE, N.Y. Saab has signed a follow-on contract with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) regarding the sale of two GlobalEye advanced airborne surveillance systems; the value of the latest contract is $1.01 billion.
The GlobalEye airborne surveillance system consists of a suite of sensors employing Saab's Erieye Extended Range (ER) radar and mission system aboard a Bombardier Global 6000 long-range jet.
Work under the new contract -- schdeuled to conclude in 2025 -- is set to be done in Sweden and South Africa.
