PRINCETON, N.J. Mikros Systems Corporation, a technology company specializing in electronic systems for advanced maintenance, announced that it was awarded a follow-on Delivery Order under its ADEPT Distance Support Sensor Suite (ADSSS) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with the U.S. Navy. The order has a $15 million ceiling and covers the installation of condition-based maintenance systems for the Littoral Combat Ship.

According to the company, the AN/SYM-3 system brings condition-based maintenance (CBM+) to working systems used by the Navy. It provides remote status monitoring, secure networking, and data analytics for the key components of the ship's Combat System, including sensors and weapons systems.

The AN/SYM-3 system provides near real-time feedback on system performance and analyzes data that helps to establish trends and anticipate failures. The new Delivery Order covers new target systems and installations on multiple future ships, company officials claimed.

Mikros is also working to extend the technology to other platforms and Navy legacy equipment.
