WIXOM, Michigan. Acromag introduced the VPX7600, a new SOSA aligned 3U VPX single board computer (SBC) that leverages Intel’s 11th Generation Tiger Lake-H Xeon W-11000E processor, the company announced in a statement.
The board is designed to meet the SOSA I/O intensive profile and is designed for rugged embedded systems in defense, aerospace, and scientific fields, the company says.
The VPX7600 features a high-performance workstation-class CPU and integrates Intel’s E810 Ethernet controller, which supports 100GbE on the data plane and 10GbE on the control plane. It also offers an array of I/O peripherals and storage solutions, including an NVMe SSD with up to 1TB capacity and a variety of backplane I/O options such as 2.5GbE, DisplayPort, USB 3.2, SATA III, RS232/422, and GPIO, the statement reads.
The company says the board is available in both conduction-cooled and air-cooled versions with front I/O access, and the XMC mezzanine site provides additional flexibility with an 8-lane Gen4 PCIe interface -- ideal for modular open system applications, particularly those requiring dependable operation in challenging environments.
