WESTMINSTER, CO. Octagon Systems will fulfill a contract with prime contractor Raytheon to deliver additional rugged FLEET computers for deployment on U.S. Navy LPD 17 warfare ships. The LPD 17 ship class is the newest generation of amphibious warfare ships, and supports amphibious transport of assault forces of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Octagon’s FLEET computers are well-suited for this environment. Fielding across the LPD 17 ship class will result in the eventual mass-deployment of Octagon computing platforms.
