AUSTIN, Texas. Vorago Technologies -- a maker of extreme-temperature and radiation-hardened embedded electronics -- has won two NASA Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I grants.
For the first project, Vorago will create a rad-hard I/O expansion chip for use in next-generation spaceflight processor devices, including the high-performance spaceflight computing (HPSC) chiplet; the company is also tasked with hardening an existing proven commercial flash memory technology that is sourced from a U.S.-based trusted CMOS wafer fab.
Vorago is also currently engaged in a SBIR Phase II project with NASA as it aims to design a miniaturized system-in-package (SIP) which is optimized for size, weight, power consumption, and radiation hardness.
