WILMINGTON, Mass. Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) has launched a 16-channel, mixed-signal front-end (MxFE) digitizer aimed at use in such defense and aerospace applications as phased array-radar, electronic warfare (EW), and ground-based satellite communications (SATCOM).

The digitizer -- made up of four AD9081 or four AD9082 software-defined, direct RF sampling transceivers -- is intended to speed users' product development by giving them reference RF signal chains, software architectures, power-supply designs, and application example code. To go along with the platform, has also made available a digitizing card that will enable users to access system-level calibration algorithms and demonstration of power-up phase determinism.
