M/A-COM acquires Mindspeed Technologies, purchases stock

LOWELL, MA. M/A-COM Technology Solutions has announced the successful acquisition of Mindspeed Technologies and the purchase of the company’s outstanding shares of common stock. The stock was purchased for $5.05 per share in a cash deal.
Approximately 30,773,328 shares, 70 percent of Mindspeed Technologies' outstanding shares, was purchased by M/A-COM. As a result of this merger, Mindspeed’s common stock will no longer be traded and will no longer be listed on the NASDAQ Global Market as of today, December 18, 2013.
President and Chief Executive Officer of M/A-COM, John Croteau, stated, “I am pleased to announce the successful completion of the Mindspeed tender. I believe the acquisition will firmly position M/A-COM as a leading global provider of High Performance Analog (HPA) solutions for high-speed networking as well as enterprise applications.”
