U.S. Navy cybersecurity research and support contract won by Raytheon

DULLES, Va. U.S. Navy officials selected Raytheon for a cybersecurity research and support contract worth an estimated $98 million for cyberspace science, research, engineering and technology integration.
The contract spans over a three year period and includes one two-year option ordering periods. If all options are exercised, the contract's value could be raised to $165 million. Raytheon is one of seven awardees of the multi-award indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery (IDIQ) contract.
The IDIQ contract vehicle covers a range of capabilities and services to support Department of Defense Information Network operations, Offensive Cyberspace Operations, Cyberspace Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, and Defensive Cyberspace Operations.
Work will be performed in San Diego and other U.S. facilities as well as outside continental U.S. locations. Work is expected to be completed September 2019. Officials say, no funds will be obligated at the time of award.
