CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. Lockheed Martin officials received delivery of the Rockwell Collins ESA Vision Systems, LLC, Gen III Helmet Mounted Display System (HMDS) for software integration into the F-35 Lightning II jet fighter. The helmet will be integrated into Low Rate Initial Production 7 for the F-35 program.

SUNNYVALE, Calif.. Lockheed Martin engineers finished environmental testing of the U.S. Navy’s third Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) satellite. Trials cleared included thermal vacuum, which validated performance in simulated space conditions. The satellite is now in final check out.

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, CA. Last month, in three separate flight tests the F-35 Lightning II aircraft from Lockheed Martin demonstrated an air-to-air combat capability, finished its first flight test with the next level software load and also made a landing at the maximum test speed and drop rate.
