ROCHESTER, N.Y. Orolia Defense and Security has won a contract from the U.S. military to furnish the Orolia BroadSim advanced GPS simulator systems as the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) moves to upgrade testing facilities and field test assets.
According to a company statement, the DoD will employ these new simulator systems to perform enhanced testing of widely deployed military GPS receivers, which are integrated into air and ground-based positioning, navigation and iming (PNT) systems. The company says that BroadSim will be used along with its PANACEA test suite, which is currently used by the DoD to conduct automated testing and analysis for PNT system performance, vulnerabilities, and more.
The BroadSim product enables different types of testing methods and environments, whether in a laboratory or in an over-the-air field testing simulation.
The contract is valued at $1.7 million.
