AN/PRC-155 Manpack tactical radios included in Army Capability Set 14

SCOTTSDALE, AZ. The latest update to the Soldier's Network has two-channel AN/PRC-155 Manpack tactical networking radios from General Dynamics added to the U.S. Army’s Capability Set (CS) 14, an integrated package of radios, software applications, satellite systems, smartphone-like devices, and other network parts. Organizations within the 101st Air Assault Division, Fort Campbell, KY, are scheduled to receive CS 14 units.
The two-channel PRC-155 Manpack networking radio will link soldiers and commanders to the Soldier’s Network, which has the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) and other important mission command on-the-move capabilities.
The Army, via Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) contracts since 2011, has maintained Soldier’s Network communications capabilities for warfighters who have CS 13 and 14. General Dynamics and Rockwell Collins engineers made on-time delivery of more than 3,400 two-channel Manpack radios for support of Army fielding requirements.
When the PRC-155 Manpack and PRC-154/154A radios are connected to WIN-T it enables dispersed forces to text, talk, share images, and collaborate wherever they are across the globe. The PRC-155 Manpack also bridges networks – legacy to future, lower to upper echelons – enabling all users to stay connected.
