LONDON. Officials from Rockwell Collins announced a wearable variant of its FireStorm integrated targeting system with High Accuracy Lightweight Targeter (HALT) and the StrikeHawk Digital tactical video downlink receiver at the Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEI) exhibition this year.

It offers a scalable targeting capability for mobile and stationary applications. Officials say that the system maintains digital interoperability with aircrafts, artillery systems, and has a user-friendly interface.

The FireStorm Interface Unit (FIU) provides body-worn integrated power management and data concentration for components of the system. The HALT weighs less than 1.2 kilograms, providing Category I level of accuracy enabling precision-guided munitions with targeting data. StrikeHawk Digital enables the dismounted user to receive, record or rebroadcast digital and analog video from unmanned aerial vehicles, strike pods or ground-generated sources.
