Two-day DARPA event asks for proposals to improve military missions

ARLINGTON, Va. Tactical Technology Office (TTO) officials at Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) have scheduled a fourth annual Proposers Day at DARPA?s office in Arlington, Virginia during April 20 ? 21, 2016. The Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) calls for executive summaries, white papers, and proposals for advanced research, development and demonstration of innovative systems for military missions.
TTO officials are seeking contributors who can provide agile development, cost inversion/imposition, autonomous/cooperative unmanned systems, weapons, as well as power and propulsion in the following focus areas:
- Ground Systems: Soldier/squad technologies, combat vehicles and tactical operations in urban and complex environments
- Maritime/Undersea Systems: Expanded platform performance, cross-domain applications and defense of maritime forces
- Air Systems: Novel air vehicles, hypersonic platforms
- Space Systems: Spacecraft technologies, space situational awareness, systems for access, and future space operations
An outline of the objects will be placed in an upcoming BAA. The Proposers will inform potential contributors about TTO’s strategy and portfolio. Attendees can schedule one-on-one meetings with DARPA program managers to discuss shared interests.
The Proposers Day will be held at the DARPA Conference Center. Advanced registration is required at http://ow.ly/ZOjBD, which is already open and closes Friday, March 25, 2016 or when capacity is reached, whichever comes first. Attendance is restricted to 150 registrants for each day due to space limitations. Attendees will receive notification regarding acceptance on or before April 8, 2016.
