WASHINGTON. The U.S. Navy’s Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center, Port Hueneme, CA, recently awarded a $21 million contract to Science Applications International Corp., McLean, VA, to sustain Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Ashore Program Systems at 66 military installations across the globe, plus related software and equipment support.
Both corrective and preventive maintenance are covered by the contract, including centralized sustainment support for life-cycle variables such as cabling, software, firmware, and hardware, in addition to subsystems needed for data/signal transmission. Service call management is additionally provided.
The contract’s five unexercised options could bring the contract’s total to $74 million, if activated. Work under the contract is performed globally, anticipated for March 2014 completion.
