NAWCAD contracts for rapid response electronic communications systems

ARLINGTON, Va. National-security IT provider CACI International recently won a task order -- with a ceiling value of $122 million -- from the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) to develop advanced electronic communications systems in support of the Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS) division of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD).
Under the terms of the order, CACI is set to provide full life cycle development – including rapid prototyping, fabrication, fielding, and maintenance – of interoperable systems and solutions to aid in communications and knowledge transfer among the Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal, state, and local agencies during crisis and emergency events worldwide.
The scope of work includes supporting legacy, current, and next-generation Crisis Response and Interoperable Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) Electronic Systems (CRIC-ES) products, such as emergency management response systems, public safety networks, enterprise land mobile radios, and agency interoperable communications, including UHF, VHF, satellite, audiovisual, and radio systems.
